詩経の中に一つの詩を読んでみましょう。もうすぐ梅の実を味わう季節がくるので、この詩はちょうどいいところです。

熟した梅の実

梅の木には実が７割くらいの実がついている。私のことを求める若者は、その実をとるための縁起の良い時間を選ぶことができる。
梅の木に梅が３割くらいついている。私のことを求める若者は、その実を味わう時期を今か今かと待っている。
籠いっぱいに梅の実をとって、私のことを求める若者は、今がその時だと言っている。

Mature Plums

There are plums on the tree with seventy percent of fruitage.
The youth who adore me have to choose the auspicious time to taste them.
There are plums on the tree with thirty percent of fruitage.
The youth who adore me seize the day to taste them.
There are mature plums filled in the baskets, the youth who adore me just say it.

來介紹詩經裡的一首詩「摽有梅」。因為又到了要品嚐梅子的季節, 這首詩很合時宜。

「摽有梅」

摽有梅，其實七兮！求我庶士，迨其吉兮！
摽有梅，其實三兮！求我庶士，迨其今兮！
摽有梅，頃筐塈之！求我庶士，迨其謂之！

詩經 國風《召南》

成熟的梅子紛紛落地，樹上還有七成。追求我的男子們，請把握良辰吉日！
成熟的梅子掉滿地，現在只剩三成了。追求我的男子們，就在今天了！
過熟的梅子滿地都是，拿竹筐來裝它們吧。追求我的男子們，現在只要開口就行了！
