小さい頃から、親や先生は、いつも私たちに最後にはお菓子はすぐに食べないで、残しておいて最後に食べなさいと教えていました。これは、私たちが欲望を抑え、将来成功した人生を送るためです。それは、規律に従ったほとんどの人々が成功した人生を送っているという事実で証明されています。しかしながら、人類の文明は、欲望を控えることから始まったのではありません。逆に、人間は夢と欲望を持っていたからこそ、一歩前進して工夫し、進歩を遂げていったのです。

私たちが願うものを得るためには、より多くの忍耐を払うべきです。でも、欲望の否定はいいかどうかわかりません。確かに、欲望は無限であり、人間は欲張りです。でも、欲望は抑制するべきです。

子供には、最後までお菓子をあげずに待たせることによって、忍耐を学ばせるは必要です。しかし、お年寄りにとっては、最後まで待つのは少し厳しいです。

父が亡くなる前になかなか禁煙することができませんでした。その時、私は彼が望むだけの、喫煙することに賛成しました。皆、よく知っているのは父がほんの少しだけ長生きしたということでした。タバコを吸うことができるのは、父にとっては、生きたい感じがあるものでした。

About Humans' Desire

When we were little, our parents and teachers used to tell us to wait until the last second to have the candy. Restraining our desire is all for our future successful life.
And things really turn out well that most people who follow the rules get a successful life.However, human civilization doesn't start from restraining desire. On the contrary, it starts from desire and dreams. Because of that, people would get further invention and great progress.

It is necessary that we pay more patience in order to get what we want. However, the denial of desire is to be questioned.　Indeed, desire is endless and people tends to become greedy. Desire should be restrained.

For a kid, it's a must to wait until the last minute to get the sugar in order to learn the lesson about endurance. However, for an old man, it's a little cruel to wait until the last second.

My father somehow couldn't quit smoking before he died. At that time, I insisted that he might smoke as much as he wanted. We all know very well that he only had few days to live. A little smoke was just the thing to make him feel worthy of living.

關於人類的慾望

小時候, 父母老師教我們糖要留到最後才能吃, 這是為了成功的人生做準備, 克制慾望。事實證明, 大部分遵守規矩的人都能得到成功的人生。但是, 人類的文明卻不是從克制慾望開始的。相反的, 人類因為有夢想, 有慾望, 而進一步想要發明, 才能得到進步。

為了慾望忍耐, 這是應該的。但是, 否認慾望就有待商榷。的確, 慾望永無止盡, 為了避免貪得無厭, 是應該要阻止慾望。

然而, 對一個小孩說, 要吃糖的話, 要學習忍耐到最後, 我覺得可以。但是, 對一個老人說, 要吃糖的話, 要學習忍耐到最後, 就有些殘忍。

我父親去世前還是沒辦法戒菸, 但是, 我主張讓他抽吧~
因為, 他還有幾天可以活呢?
