以下の文章は、林婉瑜（Línwǎnyú）の「24の愛の計算」という詩集の中にあるひとつの詩を私が翻訳したものです。

孤独なサイコロ

そのとき
その夜
死ぬほど絶望したとき
一つのサイコロが
机の下に、
あった。
それで、
生きることにした。
まだ五つも選べる道が
ある、とサイコロは言った。

The following is my translation from the poem, 落單的骰子 (The Lone Dice), which is one of the poems in the poetry book, 愛的24則運算 (The 24 Calculations of Love) written by 林婉瑜 (Lín Wǎnyú).

The Lone Dice

Once,
on the night,
desperately to die,
I noticed
under the desk,
a dice
being left unkind.
Hence,
I survived.
"Other than this,
five more choices you still have",
said the dice.

サイコロが一個

The Solitary Die

One night,
When despair drove me to the brink,
I glimpsed beneath the desk
A lone die, abandoned.
And so, I chose to live.
The die whispered,
"Remember, there are always five other possibilities."

中国語の質問です。

アクセントみたいな記号は中国語の四声を表すためのものですか。
中国（北京）には4回仕事で行ったことがあるが、カタカナで書いた中国語フレーズを見ながら街で買い物をしたとき、四声を無視して喋ったので、中国人には余り通じなかったみたいです。

教訓：
カタカナ中国語を見ながら喋るときには、常に四つの選択肢がある！
林婉瑜さんがこれを読むと笑うかな。。。

はい、そうです。

でも、台湾語のアクセントは七声がありますよ。
なので、カタカナ中国語を見ながら喋るときには、常に七の選択肢があります！
林婉瑜さんがこれを読むと泣くかな。。。（笑）

台湾では、独自の発音表記ボポモフォがありますよ。
台湾人は幼稚園から小1まで、恐らくボポモフォが完全に覚えました。
少子化のせいで、生徒はみな一生懸命勉強していますよ。

I feel that you have an excellent capacity of empathy. And your wit entertains me a lot. Thank you for your kindness and sharing your brilliant thoughts.

Composers may have had some melody in their brain from the universe in advance, then the music was created. However, people are hardly able to realize how the musicians feel and think during their life. They are lonely artists just like painters and authors and so on. That is their fate which they have chosen before they were born on earth.

If we have unique abilities more than common people, that means we have to suffer more pain and endure more loneliness. It's fine with me. I think I can live away from people very well for a long time since I live in the nature and I can talk to many animals, insects, trees, flowers and my guarding beings. They are more freindly than people.

本腰さんの仰る通りです。Just as you said. No one will notice it except me.
Since I have learned about the the science of "Chinese names", also known as anthrop onomastics, I feel very interested in people's names both in English and Chinese. I changed my own Chinese name when I was 25 years old. My parents knew that and they had no objections.
