〈藍雀〉
詩は大好きだが
詩人にはなりたくない
海が気に入っても
決してイルカにはなれない
風は楽しめるのだが
春は満喫できない
椿は花開き、そしてすぐに落ちる。
君と恋に落ちたが
あなたの恋人になりたくない
The following is my translation of Yao Shiqing"s (姚時晴) Chinese poem. The stanza is quoted from that poem.
Blue Magpie〈藍雀〉
Although I like poetry,
I don't want to be a poet.
I like the ocean,
I can't ever be a dolphin.
Although I like the wind,
Hard to fully savour the spring,
Camellia blooms and cascades in a blink.
I like you,
Never want to be your lover, though.
