ベッド

二人はこれまで25年間、同じベッドで寝てきました。

ある日、彼女はベッドの下からたくさんの水が漏れているのを発見しました。部屋の隅の水道管が破れたらしいとのことでした。マットレスも半分程濡れてしまっていて、もう使いものにならない状態でした。彼は水漏れのことを知っていたのに、いつも水管の蛇口を開けたままほったらかしにしていました。

もうこのベッドでは寝れそうにありません。

彼女は「新しいベッドを買おうか？」と言いましたが、ベッドはそう簡単に持ちあげられるものではないせいか、

彼は黙ったままでいます。

最終的に、マットレスは変えず、二人は床に寝ることにしました。



The Bed

He and she had slept on the same bed for 25 years.

One day, she found that there was lots of water under their bed. The mattress was half-soaked due to the broken pipe in the corner of the bedroom. Since he kept the faucet open deliberately and hence the water flowed ceaselessly.

For this reason, the bed couldn't be used again.

She said," Let's buy a new one, shall we?" However, it might have been a huge task if this mattress was to be lifted out of the house.

He didn't say anything.

At the end, they didn't change the mattress. They just slept on the floor instead since then.

床

他和她睡在同一張床上25年了。

有一天, 她發現床下面都是水。原來屋角的水管爆裂, 床墊有一半都被水淹了。原因是,他一直把水管開著, 明知道卻不去關它, 放任水一直流出來。

因此, 床就不能睡了。

她說：「那就再買一張床墊吧！」但是, 這張床墊要抬出去, 恐怕沒這麼簡單。

他不說話。

他們最後沒有換床墊, 只是兩個人從此睡在地板上。
