The following is my translation of a Chinese poem written by 鄭愁予 (Zheng Chouyu).
As if The Fog Lifts
I came back from the sea with 22 stars,
You asked me about the journey; I laughed out loud......
As if the fog lifts,
Jngling, tinkling earrings search for the sail way in the dense hair,
The slightest breath puff the eyelids to get the light of the tower.
The equator is a wet, red trace, invisible as you smile,
The meridian is a string of indigo pearls,
Falling, as you are missing someone after departure.
I came back from the sea; you have too many wonders in the sea......
Greeting neat shells, feminine sunset clouds,
And the coral reefs that I dared not sail close to.
敲叮叮的耳環在濃密的髮叢找航路;
敲叮叮的耳環在濃密的髮叢找航路;

The following is my translation of a Chinese poem written by 鄭愁予 (Zheng Chouyu).
-
-
The fog is lifting
-
I return from the sea after two score years or more adrift
-
You asked me my marriage vows, and i smiled .
-
The fog is lifting
-
Dangling earrings charting a course through your sea of rugged hair
-
Your sea breath, your eyelashes catching the lighthouse's glare.
-
The equator your red lip trace, your cloaked laughter
-
The meridians a drip of indigo pearls,
-
Falling, saddened by your leaving.
-
I return from the sea; your sea is too enchanting......
-
shells calling, clouds people the evening sky
-
And the coral reefs court my shyness
