夏日香氣

The following two stanzas are quoted from a poem written by 夏宇 (Xia Yu). I tried to translate it into English. Please enjoy it.

"According to the fairy tale," he said.
"You shouldn't be such a
lady who likes to debate sensibly."

Wading in a stream,
We were walking through a stormy city here and now.
The walls of the city suddenly
Collapsed.

"But I have never been
so tender before.",
I said.
There was a rubber yacht showing up nearby....

"Does a person become braver
while believing or
not believing? "

"According to the fairytale," he said,
"You shouldn't get old,...you can't get
old, so I think
I owe
a favor,...."
"to the fairy tale?"
"No, to you."
